This is the third part of the guide dedicated to The Last of Us collectibles: when such ultra-changed people can't wait to bite your ass, preparation can make the difference between living or dying: let's go and find all Training manuals.

Throughout the history of The Last of Us we will find 141 collectible objects scattered on our path that are divided between Comics, Training Manuals, Platelets of Lights and Artifacts.

The training manuals (which we will cover in this guide) are 12 in total and by finding them all you will unlock the trophy

Finding all the manuals is not only for unlocking the Trophy, but will also allow you to upgrade Joel's skills to create new items and more powerful weapons. Especially when playing on the higher difficulties, finding the manuals is essential to avoid having big problems in the last chapters.

Collectibles are scattered throughout all 12 chapters of the game with the exception of the Prologue which has no collectible items. You can keep track of your progress in finding Training Manuals and all other collectibles by pressing the "Select" button and consulting the appropriate "Collectibles" item in the Bonus Menu.

Remember that after beating the game you can repeat any Chapter from the "Select Chapter" menu to retrieve any uncollected collectibles. When you collect one also remember to get to the next checkpoint to save your progress otherwise it will not be counted. Finally, also remember that some collectibles will automatically end up in your inventory because they are part of the game's history, it is impossible to skip them and therefore are not shown in the guide videos.
