The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 - Preview on the sequel to the successful IP Nintendo

During the past Nintendo Direct aired on the occasion of theE3 2019, the big N made a move that not everyone would have imagined. Keeping it as a last resort, at the end of a live that was essentially a rich parade of IPs and new titles close to launch, an emblematic presentation video dedicated to the sequel of The Legend of Zeda: Breath of the Wild, a second chapter that will debut at a date yet to be defined exclusively on Nintendo Switch.

Nothing that we had not already predicted, in reality, since such a development was expected two years after the publication of the first, very lucky chapter. Still, the trailer that was shown on that occasion, so brief but at the same time so effective, was able to kidnap all fans of the brand and beyond. In fact, many players, Switch owners or simply curious, went into raptures after the end of the live broadcast, although the images shown by the video dedicated to the title do not reveal who knows how much about its plot.

For this, in reality, to propose a real preview to a game that has barely been confirmed to be in development, would be quite reckless and naive. What we can do at the moment is therefore pass through the sieve the official presentation trailer shown during the Direct, to try to snatch some of them interesting clue, through which it is always possible to have fun a Speculare a little about what can expect in the future.

The hidden message

By looking carefully at the trailer, you can notice some strange and mysterious ones green symbols that hover in some scenes of the video, especially around the body of the strange mummies that appears in the eyes of Link and Zelda. According to some speculations proposed by several fans of the saga, these symbols seem to belong to a pre-existing alphabet in the Zelda universe: the one belonging to the Gerudo language, a proud people of warriors who first appeared in Ocarina of Time and led by the king Ganondorf, the only male in the group.

According to what some users discovered, who then shared everything on the internet and on the well-known 4chan portal, it would seem that being able to decrypt the hidden message it would therefore be possible to read the sentence "Seal Ganon"- or" Seal Ganon ". Certainly a very strange message, this one, but that would actually connect with the same mummified corpse found in the dark cave - perhaps a dungeon? - from our two brave young heroes.

The mysterious mummy

After analyzing the reference to the Gerudo alphabet and the serious message entrusted to it, it is plausible to think that the body wrapped in such luminous characters could belong to the powerful leader of the thieves of Ocarina of Time: Ganondorf. According to various speculations, in fact, the body of the king of evil would have been sealed under the Hyrule Castle, and remained hidden until this moment, now that he was accidentally recalled.

Assuming that this hypothesis can really find some truth within the next title, the plot of the sequel to Breath of the Wild could really bring us something incredibly varied and dark. If Ganondorf was indeed able to cause a chaos similar in the very first chapter of the saga for Switch, while his body was still sealed and locked up in a mysterious underground cave, after his own liberation the threat from the villain par excellence will be even more looming and destructive.

Not surprisingly, even the audio that can be heard at the beginning of the trailer heralds an imminent catastrophe: if heard in reverse, in fact, the track reads the accusatory warning "Find the body ... goodbye Link, why did you find the body?" ("Find the body ... goodbye Link, why did you find the body?"), A solemn reproach that heralds anything but something good. Shortly thereafter, in fact, we are allowed to see Hyrule Castle move from the earth to ascend, in a certain sense, to heaven. An ascent, of course, a symptom of misfortunes and that brings with it gods terrible implications for the fairytale Hyrule and its inhabitants.

Playable Zelda and the return of the dungeons

Other interesting speculations proposed by numerous enthusiasts also concern the probability of having two new features included in the sequel to Breath of the Wild. The first would concern the possibility of obtaining the princess Zelda as a playable character, alongside the iconic hero. This is because, in fact, in the trailer the girl seems to take part in first person in the numerous scenes shown, and her clothes suggest that she may have left. on a mission with Link in order to help him during the various adventures to be faced.

Finally, another hypothesized introduction would be that of return of the dungeons, absent in the previous title debuted on Switch. The same mysterious cave, that gloomy one underground place into which the two young people enter, it sensitively traces the typical environment of a dungeon, perhaps inserted in one mine (seen and considered the presence of luminescent minerals) or developed in burrows that forge the foundations of the castle of Hyrule, rich in pictorial representations which, in a certain sense, are similar to those of a sacred and ceremonial building.

In any case, while not knowing exactly what the big N has in mind to propose us with the next chapter of one of its most loved series of all time, it is still surprising to see how much particularity the company has chosen to include and enclose within the exciting trailer for the sequel to The Legend of Zeda: Breath of the Wild. A peculiarity, this, that if you look closely it shows so rich, detailed and fertile of ideas, but also so much inclined to hide even more clues about the next title than we have been able to find.

At the moment, therefore, we just have to wait anxiously for the next announcement that Nintendo will dedicate to the sequel, in the hope that in the next video it will want to show us something more in-depth and explanatory.
