Arkane Studios: Dishonored's parents already working on a new project

In recent years, one of the studios that more than any other has managed to develop some of the most successful single-player titles has been Arkane Studios, the French development house which, under the supervision of Bethesda, in the last decade has given us such major titles as the two Dishonored and Prey. After several months of development, and some unfortunate postponements, the Lyon software house is about to release their latest effort, Deathloop, which will arrive in stores in the second quarter of 2021 ... but apparently the team is already working on a new project.

To confirm all this was Harvey smith, game director of the Dishonored series, who in a recent interview with the Spanish portal Vandal reported that at the moment he is not working with the Lyon team, which is completing the development of Deathloop, but which is actually in the subsidiary studios of Austin, in Texas, where he is focusing on a new project that has not yet been announced.

Dinga Bakaba and Sébastien Mitton (respectively Game and Art Director of Deathloop, ed.) Are working in Lyon, and both worked with me on the first two chapters of Dishonored. At that time I moved to Lyon, where I stayed for four years. I am now in Austin and working on a new project with Ricardo Bare and Susan Kath, who have also released Prey in recent years, along with my old team with whom I developed the Dishonored series.

In short, Arkane Studios doesn't really seem to want to waste time, working on two different games at the same time - although one is about to enter the gold phase - in their two different locations. For the moment nothing is known yet about this mysterious project developed by Smith in Austin, but we will surely hear more and more about it over the next few months.
