Battlefield 6: For an insider, it will have free-to-play elements and a battle pass

Battlefield 6: For an insider, it will have free-to-play elements and a battle pass

As you well know, in recent days the CEO of Electronic Arts, Andrew Wilson, anticipated that a new chapter of Battlefield, the famous videogame saga developed by Digital Illusions Creative will be shown to the public next spring. Although at the moment the official information on the new first-person shooter of the Swedish software house is rather tight, new rumors would suggest that Battlefield 6 will not only introduce a battle pass, but also some free-to-play elements.

The rumors would have been spread in the last hours by the well-known leaker Tom Henderson, who would have revealed in his latest video (which you can easily retrieve at the bottom of the article), that seasons in question they should last 8 to 10 weeks, news that would confirm the intention of the development team to keep up with the enormous success of the battle royale in the latter period, see Fortnite, Apex Legends or the same Call of Duty Warzone. But that would not be all, given that the highly anticipated Battlefield 6 by DICE should also contain an entirely free-to-play feature, hoping that the latter will get more luck than the Firestorm mode, the battle royale of Battlefield 5.

Waiting to find out more details on the title in the works at the studios of the Swedish development team, we point out that in the past few weeks Henderson had suggested the possibility not just that Battlefield 6 was going to be a cross-gen game, therefore also available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but that the first person shooter would have sanctioned a full reboot of the series and featuring fully destructible buildings and a online multiplayer mode for up to 128 players (features only possible for new generation consoles).

We remind you to take this news with due precautions, since it is simple rumors EA, Together with Digital Illusions Creative, have not expressed themselves in any way on the subject. Battlefield 6 should see the light this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S and PC, although at the moment the development team has not announced any official release date.
