Bokeh Game Studio: Silent Hill's dad founds his own software house

Bokeh Game Studio: Silent Hill's dad founds his own software house

The veterans of Japan Studio Keiichiro Toyama, Kazunobu Sato and Junya Okura, which in the past have worked on titles such as The Last Guardian, Silent Hill, SIREN e Gravity Rush, they left the studio to form a new one, called Bokeh Game Studio. Speaking in a video posted by the channel YouTube of the software house, the three recalled their history as veteran game developers and talked about the responsibility of becoming an independent developer.

The team is now focused on creating new games, and in all likelihood new collaborators will join them for this great adventure, trying to meet the expectations of their old fans. As for what they are working on, the development of the project is probably still in its infancy. However, let's take a first look at some particular concept art and drawings in the video they uploaded to their official YouTube channel. All of this comes as there are plenty of rumors about a possible reboot of Silent Hills, which would be in development between Sony e Konami, also considering that from next year we will start in the main life cycle of the new consoles. It is not known which platforms their games will be released for at the moment. The video also claims that "a lot of people" who worked with the aforementioned developers are joining the new studio. Keeichiro Toyama will serve as CEO. Kazunobu Sato will serve as president and chief operating officer, as well as producer, while Junya Okura will serve as game director and chief technical office.

The company was officially incorporated in August 2020, so their departure from Sony Interactive Entertainment is probably not entirely recent. All three developers therefore have a great deal of experience behind them, and we are sure they will be able to give us some very interesting titles in the near future. We just have to wish him good luck.
