Diablo 2: remastered coming by the end of 2020, according to a rumor

The French site Actugaming has recently released new rumors regarding a possible remastered version of Diablo 2, which may have the subtitle “Resurrected”. According to the information, this remastered edition is expected to be in development at Vicarious Visions and could arrive on PC already by the end of 2020. For those who do not remember, Vicarious Visions is a team already experienced in the realization of remastered, which gave birth for example to Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy in 2017.

Although this is currently only an unconfirmed rumor, it must be said that the source is quite reliable, having predicted the announcements of Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 in advance, before BlizzCon 2019. As for the release, the rumor speaks specifically of the fourth quarter of this year, although the date could be postponed due to the current situation. In any case, official news from the company remains to be awaited, which, if the project turns out to be true, could arrive in the coming months thanks to the Summer Game Fest or directly during the next BlizzCon.
