Diablo Immortal: for Activision it is “a good idea” after Call of Duty Mobile

Today, the Activision-Blizzard CFO, Dennis Durkin, spoke particularly optimistically of Diablo Immortal, a project for mobile platforms currently under development at the software house studios. Although the reception of the public was certainly not worthy of note, the software house is particularly satisfied with the decisions made for the aforementioned game, and therefore it seems the landing of the brands Activision on mobile platforms will not stop there. We attach below the statement of the CFO.

There is a lot more that will come to Mobile in the same way. Call of Duty Mobile was a great start, but we're just scratching the surface of what a franchise can be on mobile, in order to integrate the experience across multiple platforms, we know it's just an incredible opportunity for the franchise.

We have already seen excellent results from the public with Call of Duty: Mobile, as well as with the upcoming Crash Bandicoot: On The Run, and we obviously hope that Diablo Immortal manages to be successful in the same way. From a community that would have imagined the arrival of Diablo 4, which was only announced later, the answer was obviously negative, due to the disappointment of PC and console players who would have wanted a work more inclined to the classic canons of the market. After all, while offering unattainable mobility and convenience, mobile development severely limits the possibilities of software, due to the size of smartphones and their certainly limited computing power, at least considering that the works are patented to reach most part of the devices.

Not for that though, Diablo Immortal will have to be a bad game, as it seems in fact that the premises are rather positive, and that therefore we may soon find ourselves in front of a work to be fully experienced. We obviously await details on the project, which we hope will soon receive a definitive release date.
