Through a thread on Reddit some users PlayStation 5 they reported a bizarre problem with the controller Dualense designed for the next generation console, advising players who have mechanical watches not to wear the device when using the new home controller Sony. According to some testimonies, in fact, the DualSense could magnetize mechanical watches, emitting strong magnetic fields not only at the speaker level, but also at the handles themselves.
More specifically, the user known by the name of Saguchi has reported the problem by also underlining the three greatest dangers for mechanical watches, namely water, shocks and magnetism. After having tested it extensively, the user believes that the main cause of this complication is due to theIMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) or the vibration mechanism, considering that the levels detected by him are on a par with those generated by the speakers of different types of laptops which, to all intents and purposes, can create malfunctions in some devices. He was joined by numerous other users, signaling that the DualSense controller would be decidedly more "dangerous" than its predecessor, the DualShock di PlayStation 4.
Despite everything, at the moment no official information has been released regarding this type of problem and for this reason the necessary information is not available to understand if the DualSense could actually cause damage to players in possession of mechanical watches. This would not be the first time that the DualSense controller, the new device adopted by Sony to accompany the next-generation PlayStation 5 console, ends up in the center of attention due to a technical problem. In fact, just one month after the official release of the new platform, numerous users have reported some critical issues on the internet adaptive device triggers, one of the new features introduced to make the experience even more immersive for players.
