FIFA 21: the PC version will not update to the next-gen like on the console

Next month FIFA 21 will officially make its debut in the new videogame generation, thanks to the update that will be introduced starting December 4th on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S. As we have already seen thanks to a series of images released in recent weeks, this update will offer a clear graphical and performance improvement. As for the version PC, according to Electronic Arts would not be expected any kind of update similar to what will happen on next-gen systems.

Responding to Eurogamer, the executive producer of the FIFA series Aaron McHardy confirmed that there will not be this specific update on PC for keep computer requirements more accessible, so as to allow more users to play the football simulator, so that it would have become much more difficult if they had made this update available on PC as well. This move therefore goes to meet all fans of these football titles who perhaps after the aforementioned upgrade would no longer be able to open the game on their computer, as would no longer meet the minimum requirements required by the game. Furthermore, McHardy is keen to point out that, as was obvious to expect, this update on the console makes the title suitable for all the new peripherals of the next-gen consoles, such as the Dualense on PlayStation 5 or the Quick resume Xbox Series X / S, which is not possible on a computer, making the update a simple visual improvement.

Unfortunately PC gamers will have to wait another year to fully enjoy all the news that will land on EA's football simulators starting next December. Anyway, we remind you that FIFA 21 is already available for 4 PlayStation, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. The versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S, complete with a Dual Entitlement program, are scheduled for December 4th.
