Final Fantasy XIV, the famous entirely online chapter of Square Enix will update to version 6.0 in Autumn 2021 bringing a new expansion called Endwalker. The announcement comes directly from Final Fantasy XIV Announcement Showcase, held in live streaming on the social channels of the Japanese publisher. Also, during the event, the arrival of the version was confirmed PS5 of MMORPG also in the fall, probably around the same time as the expansion's release. A open beta of the game on Sony's next-gen console will be available from April 13 2021.
Final Fantasy XIV is the second entirely numbered Online chapter of the saga, after Final Fantasy XI. Set in the world of Eorzea the game allows the player to create your own character personalized and start your own journey through the wilds proposed in the game. Considered one of the best MMORPGs of recent years, the title boasts a deep and intriguing lore, thanks to a geopolitics of the game world studied in detail. Although it is a title accessible only via the internet, this chapter still has one main story to follow, as well as a myriad of side quests, guilds to join, jobs and much more. Honorable mention to community present in game, considered one of the best of all online games.
Square Enix has always kept a close eye on Final Fantasy XIV. Even nine years after its release, the Japanese company is always trying to improve its product, trying to keep the attention of users high. The publisher is also preparing for the release of Final Fantasy XVI, new chapter coming out on PS5 as a temporary exclusive and entirely single player. The production was entrusted to Naoki Yoshida, the one who brought the Final Fantasy XIV project back to life after a disastrous launch. Expectations are therefore high, plus the exclusive nature of the title has already made Square Enix's new work a killer application for Sony's next gen console.
