Homefront: The Revolution, the codes to play TimeSplitters 2 have been found

A few days ago, the former developer Matt phillips surprisingly revealed on Twitter that he had included a full port of TimeSplitters 2 inside Homefront: The Revolution in the form of an easter egg. However, it seemed that the codes to access TimeSplitters 2 from Homefront: The Revolution were lost, but the community was able to track them down instead.

The "moment of greatest pride", as Phillips reveals in his Tweet, was to have entered one native 4K version of the original game, otherwise lost in the folds of time. It is not the first time that a question without an addressee receives intriguing answers on Twitter from the giants of the entertainment industry, after all.

As mentioned in the opening however, Phillips later revealed of having lost the notebook on which he had marked the code which, if placed in the Homefront: The Revolution cabinet, would have unlocked the full version of TimeSplitters 2. What we didn't mention, however, are the amusing consequences in this happy ending story, starting with the other keeper of the secret.

Apparently, the developer confessed to his acquaintance the existence of the code, who in turn spoke of the legendary easter egg on a Discord channel. The result, in a sector like the videogame one now painfully accustomed to hoaxes, was a ban from the affected channel for the second person, which is ironic when we remember who it is.

To reveal the codes to access TimeSplitters 2 on Homefront: The Revolution in its entirety it was the user Spencer Perreault, who preferred to reveal it via crossroads: using the aforementioned Twitter. The combination posted by Perreault was later "converted" for all formats in which the 2016 title is available, that is PC, Xbox One e PlayStation 4.
