It Takes Two: bad news, here are the news on the next-gen version

The guys of Hazelight Studios are working hard for their next title, namely: It Takes Two. The game is scheduled for release March 26, 2021 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and also on the new generation consoles, that is PlayStation 5 e Xbox Series X / S. The action platform adventure will be visually more beautiful on next-gen consoles but it seems that the differences between the different generations will be limited to this.

Joel Fares, developer for Hazelight Studios, in an interview for IGN spoke about the co-op adventure in development, explaining how It Takes Two will look better graphically on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, but that in addition to this there will be no other particular differences. The arrival of the consoles has come late on the roadmap in the making of the game, therefore there will also be no support for haptic feedback or the targeted use of DualSense adaptive triggers on PlayStation 5. There is also no future improved special edition for the new platforms, since there is no material time to be able to do it.

I'm not really interested in consoles but games. Of course I wish I could have looked into the new consoles for It Takes Two more. I am happy that they are more powerful, because it takes a long time when a console is not powerful enough, but what I like about the new generation is that they are and that we can focus better on them. But to be honest, the new consoles came really late in our production. Obviously the title will look better on PS5 and Xbox Series X, but we don't really have time to adapt them and make the PS5 and Xbox versions special bla bla… Whatever the new Xbox is called.

It is not long before you can get your hands on It Takes Two, a highly anticipated title, especially by those who have already experienced Hazelight Studios products such as Brothers e A Way Out, the latter in particular defined by a strong cooperative component, both online and local, the same that also characterizes this new title coming out at the end of March 2021.
