Ken-Ichiro Imaizumi switches from Kojima Productions to Tencent

One of the members and founders of Kojima Productions, Ken-Ichiro Imaizum, decided last year to leave the parent company of di Death stranding. But now, finally, he has found a new occupation within Tencent Europe, which is located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The European part of this company, whose origins are rooted in the Chinese territory, does not only deal with video games, but its core is to find opportunities within the European Union area. With a particular focus on WeChat, Social Ads and WeChat Pay, this is what is written in the university presentation of Andrea Ghizzoni.

It seems that the reason for the abandonment of Kojima Productions is not yet clear, however it has emerged that there may have been some problems between Ken-Ichiro Imaizumi and the other directors of the company, as proof of this, the man did not show up on the press tour for Death Stranding.

Instead, as regards Kojima Productions, we remind you that this company was born from the divorce from Konami of Hideo Kojima after the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and Imaizumi has a long career within the software house. To be precise we could see his name in Metal Gear Solid: Sons of Liberty, released in 2001, this means that he has worked with the company for about twenty years. In addition, he was producer for the last two numbered chapters of the Metal Gear Solid saga: Guns of the Patriots and The Phantom Pain, but not only, he had the same role for the dedicated spin-off that sees Raiden again the protagonist: Metal Gear Rising. In short, a career that is certainly not negligible, which could see further major projects under Tencent's arm.

The man may be working on new projects SuperCell e Riot GAMES, both a subsidiary of Tencent. We hope to find out more about this soon!
