Life is Strange: will the next chapter be developed by Deck Nine?

According to what has emerged in the last few hours, the next chapter of Life is Strange, highly appreciated videogame saga signed Dontnod Entertainment, may not have been developed by its original creators. According to the words of the insider Emily Rogers, the next projects related to the franchise will be managed by Deck Nine, US studio that in 2017 released Life is Strange: Before the Storm, a prequel to the original game it sees Chloe Price e Rachel Amber as protagonists. We report below what was communicated in the tweet:

Just to repeat my previous tweet:

Moving forward, Deck Nine will manage all games related to “Life is Strange”. Square Enix and Dontnod split a long, long time ago. It had very little to do with this deal with Tencent.

According to Emily Rogers, the separation between the French software house and the Japanese giant would have taken place a long time ago, and that it would have nothing to do with the recent agreement with Tencent. At the moment we have no confirmation on the matter, but the words of the insider find further confirmation from the latest titles made by Dontnod Entertainment, that means Tell Me Why e Twin Mirror, which were published by respectively Xbox Game Studios e Bandai Namco. Plus the same Vampyr, released in 2018 alongside Life is Strange 2, was distributed by Focus Home Interactive. That the French team has long ago decided to entrust their IPs to different publishers, definitively abandoning the much appreciated graphic adventure in the hands of Square Enix and Deck Nine?

Waiting to find out more details on the affair, we remind you to take this information with due precautions, given that at the moment it is simple rumors and there has been no official confirmation from any of the parties involved. Life is Strange 2 is already available for purchase on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and features the brothers Sean and Daniel Diaz, intent on running away from home after a tragic accident.

Just to re-iterate on my previous tweet:

Going forward, Deck Nine will handle all games related to "Life is Strange". Square and Dontnod parted ways a long, long time ago. It had very little to do with this Tencent deal.https: //t.co/APJFscD1rn
