PlayStation 5: Future exclusives will not be playable on PS4

And after revealing in the past few hours that the next 4 June to 22: 00 will be shown PlayStation 5 launch lineup, Jim Ryan, president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, added the dose to the microphones of GamesIndustry International, stating that the company intends to "respect" the generations of consoles with the release of exclusive titles. So, as was to be expected, future PlayStation 5 exclusives will not be playable on PS4. We report his words in detail:

We have always said that we believe in generations. We believe that when you go through the trouble of building a next-gen console, it should include features and benefits that the previous generation doesn't. And that, in our opinion, people should make games that make the most of these features.

We believe in generations, in the benefits that DualSense, 3D audio will bring, and in the multiple ways the SSD can be used ... we are thinking that it is time to give the PlayStation community something new, different, which can really be only appreciated on PS5.
