Prison Break: Wentworth Miller to leave the show, season at risk?

Prison Break: Wentworth Miller to leave the show, season at risk?

Last April, plans were announced for a sixth season of prison Break exclusively if the plot had been the focus of the entire production, as if to say: “if it's worth it for the story ok”. Unfortunately, however, just today, one of the cornerstones of the entire show has decided to abandon everything for very personal reasons that we list below. The protagonist Michael Wentworth Miller (Michael J. "Mike" Scofield) has in fact abandoned the role of key character of the television series because he says he is tired of playing the roles of heterosexual characters.

To give this news he was in person through a post on Instagram, claiming his homosexuality again and deactivating the comment function under the post to avoid exaggerated reactions that we know well, unfortunately, happen in these cases. The message released along with the photograph says:

I'm out of Prison Break. Officially. I just don't want to play straight characters anymore. Their stories have already been told. So, no more Michael. If you were a fan of the series and were hoping for other seasons… I understand that this thing could disappoint you. I'm sorry.

Already in the past, in 2013, Michael Wentworth had publicly declared that he was homosexual, denouncing Russia's attitudes against people of "different" sex and also refusing an invitation to the St. Petersburg Festival. Unfortunately, at the moment what the future of this saga will be is not known. Many were waiting for a return of the show that has been stopped for about 3 years after taking a long break that lasted almost 8 years.
