The title at the moment is in fact 60% complete, following a work that lasted 3 and a half years. It will conclude the story of Ethan Winter started in Resident Evil 7 and will also see among its protagonists the same village present in the title. Another element that the developers have discussed is the importance of exploration, of solving puzzles and equipment management, as well asimmersiveness that the possibilities of next-gen platforms will be able to offer thanks to reduced loading times:

We have updated the graphics and sound. Furthermore, the fact that the loading times cannot be perceived is an important point in favor. All in all, next-generation consoles allow for more immersive experiences.

In addition to fear, combat and item handling, exploration is a must in Resident Evil. Solving puzzles is certainly important; expands the breadth of gameplay.
