Riot Games: the class action on gender discrimination is about to be resolved

After almost a year of protests, with complaints, mass strikes and even accusations of sexual harassment, it seems that the situation at the studios of Riot Games is moving towards a peaceful resolution. In fact, in the last year, starting from an article by Kotaku which revealed the sexist and discriminatory environment inside the offices, were added complaints by employees for unpaid salaries and the presence of a hostile environment towards women, culminating in a mass strike, last May, which emphasized so much the violation of California's Equal Pay Act, the law that establishes equal wages in the country, as well as the presence of a toxic work environment.

Rather than face the legal battles that would ensue, Riot Games it therefore decided to open a constructive dialogue with its employees in order to resolve the situation peacefully. In a recent release, the company said it wants to learn from its past to do what's best for it Riot same as for its employees, thus committing itself to building a fair and healthy work environment.

We are grateful for any Rioter who has come forward with their concerns and believe this resolution is fair to everyone involved. With this agreement, we are honoring our seriousness in finding the best and most timely way for all Rioters, and Riot, to move forward and heal. "
