Santa Monica still hires for its unannounced game

Through their official Twitter profile Santa Monica Studio announced that they are looking for a senior gameplay designer for the development of a game not yet announced. The professional figure sought must be experienced in the development of combat systems or in the overall design of the project. Following this link you can send your application if it is of interest to you. Santa Monica Studio is the team responsible for the latest - splendid - chapter of the series God of War, released exclusively for PlayStation 4 in April 2018 (our review here).

The tweet (which you can find at the bottom of the news), shows a short video of some splendid gameplay scenes from the aforementioned last chapter of the God of War series, and is accompanied by a few lines of text, translated into Spanish for your convenience and shown below. :

Santa Monica Studio is looking for a senior gameplay designer with experience in combat systems or systems design to join a team developing an as yet unannounced project.

SIE Santa Monica Studio is a software house belonging to the Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios group. The development house, which became famous thanks to the God of War series (launched on March 22, 2005 exclusively for PlayStation 2), has published over the years other more or less famous games: Kinetica, FlOw, Warhawk, Flower, Twisted Metal (for PlayStation 3), Journey, The Unfinished Swan, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Hookum, and many more. The last game to be completed and released is God of War. It should be launched in 2021 God of War Ragnarok (but the job posting that voiced this news may not be related to this game). Recall that God of War Ragnarok has not yet been officially announced and his name is not official.

Speaking of God of War Ragnarok, it seems to be more and more likely a postponement of the debut of the new game to 2022. The boss of PlayStation Studios, Hermen Hulst, stated that Ragnarok is the game that awaits the most.
