Super Nintendo World: Osaka amusement park is almost complete

Super Nintendo World: Osaka amusement park is almost complete

The inauguration of Super Nintendo World, the amusement park made possible by the collaboration between Nintendo e Universal Studios, should have taken place this summer, in conjunction with the Games of the XXXII Olympiad (Tokyo 2020). Unfortunately, as with so many other events, the inauguration was postponed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Naturally, during these complicated months, the construction works had proceeded slowly, to ensure maximum safety for the workers, thus avoiding possible sources of contagion. Today, through a post on Instagram, visible below, a photo taken with a drone was shared, showing the progress of the work.

Judging from the image, the park seems almost finished, we can recognize some attractions such as the Super Mario Kart Ride e Yoshi's Adventures, as well as a space that should contain the expansion dedicated to Donkey Kong. This assumption was also confirmed by Brian Roberts, CEO of Comcast, which has assumed a few months of delay for the inauguration of the Super Nintendo World, compared to what they had set.

When it is possible to visit these attractions, it will surely be a very special and innovative experience. For example, there is the use of bracelets that will be able to interact with the different attractions, save the scores achieved and then also interface with the Nintendo consoles from home. Finally, we remind you that, after the opening of the amusement park in Japan, the inaugurations of the offices in the USA, in Orlando and Hollywood, and of the Super Nintendo World in Singapore are already planned.
