Good news arrives for all those waiting to see Turn Up Charlie, the new comedy co-created by Idris Elba. In fact, in these very hours Netflix announced that Piper perabo (Covert Affairs, Looper), JJ Field (Turn, The Romanoffs) and the emerging actress Frankie Hervey will join the cast of this new TV series.
For those who still don't know Turn Up Charlie tells the story of Charlie (Idris Elba), a struggling DJ and inveterate bachelor, who decides to become the "nanny" of his best friend's troubled daughter, as well as famous successful actor, in the last and desperate attempt to achieve success .
Here instead we propose the description of the three characters who will be played by Piper Perabo, JJ Field and Frankie Hervey.
- Sara (Piper Perabo): famous DJ and style icon, Sara decides to leave her chaotic and exciting life in the United States to take root in London, in an attempt to give more stability and normality to her daughter, who suffers from behavioral problems.
- David (JJ Field): A charming and charismatic Hollywood actor, David is adored by fans and friends. Originally a boy from North London, used to working hard, after having achieved success he returns to his hometown, which will offer him new opportunities, but also a large number of uncertainties.
- Gabrielle (Frankie Hervey): Spoiled and crafty, Gabrielle is very smart for her age. Neglected by her parents, who have always devoted themselves only to careers, Gabrielle combines everything to get her parents' attention, driving all of her nannies to exasperation. The sharp and mischievous answers, the adventures and the epic whims, however, hide a lonely girl, with a distorted vision of reality.
Before leaving, we remind you that the filming of Turn Up Charlie have already started in London: the series will consist of 8 episodes lasting 30 minutes each and should become part of the catalog Netflix by the end of the current year.
