Call of Duty Vanguard: in 2021 we will return to the Second World War

Call of Duty WWII Vanguard has been submerged in rumors for months and, although it has not yet been announced, it does not stop being talked about. The leakers of Modern Warzone have claimed that the new chapter of the shooter's Activision will be set During the Second World War, although it will be a different conflict from the one described in the history books and that we all know. Several sources from Eurogamer and VGC have confirmed these hypotheses.

The new Call of Duty, as stated in a rumor for the first time several months ago, it would be in the hands of Sledgehammer Games, and the player could be catapulted into a war that it did not finish in 1945. This scenario would be perfect for nurturing programmers' creativity and freedom, allowing them to create a great campaign.

Call of Duty WWII Vanguard will return to the graphics engine IW Engine 8 di Call of Duty: Modern Warfare of 2019, much appreciated by players, which would represent a perfect bridge between the multiplayer mode of Modern Warfare and WWII Vanguard. IW8 also powered Warzone, with the move to an updated version of the Treyarch in Black Ops Cold War, last year. This decision was likely motivated by Warzone's huge popularity which, according to Activion, has attracted beyond 85 millions of players to December 2o20.

The 2021 chapter of Call of Duty will therefore share weapons and game progress with Warzone, similar to what has been done in Black Ops Cold War, but it is not clear how deep the integration will be with the next video game, due to the difficulties in programming and the change of timeline. As reported for the first time by VGC, the map next month Verdansk of Warzone will be updated with a new battlefield a 80s theme. This is an update that should have coincided with the release of Black Ops Cold War, last November, but several factors have caused the release to be postponed to 2021.

After the release of Call of Duty WWII Vanguard, Warzone will not see an update similar to coincide with the new chapter probably before 2022, and may never receive a World War II map upgrade, instead focusing on the 2022 game link. Several sources confirmed last year that Activision has no plans to slow down the making of premium versions of Call of Duty. which will continue to be created by Treyarch, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games.

Warzone remains an important pillar, and given the huge popularity of free-to-play combined with the franchise's rich history, it will continue to evolve and adapt with each new premium title.
