Danganronpa: Games will be removed from PlayStation Store

The developer Spike Chunsoft has recently taken over the publishing rights of Danganronpa. The news came quite unexpectedly, and many fans of the series immediately wondered what the consequences of that would be. As things currently stand, these consequences are far from positive. In fact, starting immediately, the Danganronpa games will begin to be withdrawn from stores PlayStation 4 e PS Vita. Already on 21 August Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girl (PS Vita) has been removed from PlayStation Store. On September 4th, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (PS Vita) e Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair (PS Vita) will be withdrawn in turn and on 25 September also Danganronpa v3: Killing Harmony (PlayStation 4 and PS Vita) will be removed.

NIS, who has managed the release of the franchise so far, has warned fans of the radical change via a post on their account. Official Twitter:

Update: Certain Danganronpa titles will soon no longer be available for purchase on PSN via NIS America. Please read our blog for more information: (http://bit.ly/DanganUpdate) #Danganronpa

Some may wonder why the series is going through this series of changes. As we have already said Spike Chunsoft has taken over the publishing rights of the series and it is likely that the games are being removed from the Stores in order to be able to re-publish them at a later time, so as to directly receive the sales profits.

This year the series Danganronpa he has accomplished ten years. The first chapter was launched on November 25 2010 for the unforgettable PlayStation Portable, and places some high school students in an unusual scenario: in order to save their lives, they will be forced to kill each other, but without being discovered, otherwise a "punishment" awaits them. The aim of the "innocent" will be to find out who committed the crime, or they will all be punished in turn; all while collecting testimonials and interacting with each other.
