Diablo IV: Blizzard has revealed several information about the game

Activision Blizzard is a company that knows how to arouse interest in its players, and the announcement of Diablo IV during Blizzcon 2019 he was certainly incisive. Today, the team is back to talk about this highly anticipated product for PS4, Xbox One and PC, talking about different content such as the storyline, gameplay and remote development due to the current global health emergency.

The developers, therefore, talk about how they have currently concentrates its efforts in the Arid Steppes area: inside they have included the content planned for the campaign, elements of the open world, objects, a PvP sub-area, expeditions and even a video to complete the narrative of the region. Obviously they have also worked on other areas of the product during this time, but they focused more on Arid Steppes in order to create a complete and cohesive experience for the team. The conversations in the game have changed compared to those of Diablo III, since they are experimenting with cameras generated by the instruments but choreographed manually. In the interactions with the NPCs they decided to have the camera approach and show a library of preset animations to convey the general atmosphere of the exchange. For the most incisive moments in the story they have taken an option similar to the one described above, but with animations made manually. As for the RTC - aka real-time footage - the team decided to use the camera with a cinematic style. The choice to do them in real time offers two particular advantages: they can thus show the characters in their current outfit or armor, but it is even possible to observe the surrounding world with the resolution set and the graphics settings enabled, so that it remains more fluid, as an integral part of the game.

One of the main novelties of Diablo IV is definitely the open world named Sanctuarium. Inside it is not only possible to continue with the campaign, but they are also provided a variety of systems and content to discover along the way. Some of the activities that are currently in the works are crafts, events, PvP and side missions, but the development team wanted to explain in detail the camps. In these places invaded entirely by enemies, our task will be to defeat them all so as to transform everything into a friendly outpost for NPCs. Another interesting novelty are the mounts which, according to Blizzard Entertainment, allow for complete customization as well as quick trips to the Sanctuary. As for the multiplayer, the goal of the developers is to incorporate elements from shared worlds without the game ever giving the feeling of taking place in a completely online territory. In fact, within Diablo IV you can find the other players simply by playing, joining them or completely ignoring them to continue on our way.

The team concluded by talking about how they normally never share information in such a primeval phase of development, they don't have a beta or alpha version yet, but for this year it seemed fundamental given the cancellation of BlizzCon 2020.
