E3 2020 officially canceled, but there may be an online experience

The worst news for a video game loverE3 2020 greets us, as ESA has decided to cancel the event. The confirmation comes through the official website of the event, which leaves the homepage with a four-paragraph message highlighting the reasons, choices and so on.

"After careful consultation with our members on the health and safety of every person in the industry (fans, employees, stand workers and partners) we have decided to cancel E3 2020, which was to be held in Los Angeles between 9 and 11 June.

Due to the growing concern about the virus COVID-19, we thought this was the best solution in such a global scenario. We are sorry that we cannot hold this event for our fans and supporters. But we know that this is the right decision, based on the information we have today.

Our team will contact stand holders and companies with refund information.

We are also considering an option to allow event members an online experience for announcements and news, again in June 2020. We will update you from E3Expo.com.

We thank everyone who shared their reinterpretation of this E3. We will try to bring you an innovative E3 2021, capable of bringing fans, media and industry all together to celebrate the video game. "
