E3 2021: will the event be paid? ESA denies the news

According to a report released a few hours ago by Video Games Chronicle, theE3 2021 it could be done from this 13nd June, entirely in streaming. Furthermore, regarding the paid nature of the event, despite some previous rumors saying the opposite, the organizers assure that the event will remain totally free. However, for completeness, we report some of the rumors that have been reported by VGC:

E3 has always been the unifying force of the video game industry, a time every year when the best and brightest (developers) come together to unveil the latest announcements and game demos (a project) in support of more than just their individual goals, but to evangelize (broaden and expand the media)

In 2021, E3 is much more… Welcome to the Electronic Entertainment Exsperince. International, inclusive. Innovative, irresistible and "in your hands" wherever you live

It is therefore stated that the E3 will change name, during a process of profound revision that most likely with the unfortunate advent of the COVID-19, has accelerated and radically changed its evolution. Other sources of VCG report:

E3 2021 will NOT (be) a (simple) in-person event, transformed into a virtual one

E3 2021 is a cutting-edge and culturally significant digital (...) (test bed) for all corners of the industry and its consumers, from mobile and PC gaming to esports, cross-gen consoles and AAA (game) debuts, which will generate huge mainstream attention (...)

We have worked hard to bring a free experience to everyone interested in E3 2021 and are excited to share more details soon

As already mentioned, the aforementioned claims of a VGC source were then only partially denied from a press release Twitter which we leave at the bottom of the article and which presents the official correction of the organizing body. L'ESA in fact he stated that he wanted to release the entire streaming of the event in a totally free format for each player. In fact, in the tweet taken from Idle Sloth they specify:

The 2021 E3 Digital Show is a free event for all attendees. We are excited to bring you all the real news for the event soon.

In the tweet it is therefore possible to read a call to listen to official statements from ESA, even if some specific speculations by VGC could still prove to be true, for example the hypothesis of allowing some users (perhaps journalists) to try the demos of the game in cloud gaming, even if it is a possibility to be confirmed. This propensity to manage "remote events" could therefore lead us to carry out an analysis on the evolutionary phenomenon of E3 and how thedigital entertainment, has had to adapt to the tragic needs that today afflict the market and the world of video games due to the pandemic.

The occasion is therefore interesting to see how the event will be able to innovate, given that in the last two years its importance has been considerably reduced, with particular situations, such as Sony than in 2020  he had decided not to participate in the fair and to create his own events on the internet. Only the future will tell us if the premises of this new evolution of E3 will be able to catalyze again, as in the past, all the importance that the Los Angeles fair has maintained for years, for all fans of the world of video games.
