PlayStation 5: Some DualSense do not charge properly

It seems that PlayStation 5 is the victim of a troubling problem that some users who bought the console at launch have been facing in the last few hours. This problem is related to the chatted controller Dualense which, although it has made a big generational leap with its new set of innovative features, seems to be somehow held back by a mysterious problem that does not allow it to load when the console is in rest mode.

As reported by some users the controller does not charge in sleep mode when using the front USB port. However, this problem was apparently fixed when some of these users tried to charge the DualSense controller using the rear USB port of their PlayStation 5. This isn't a permanent fix, however, and Sony has yet to officially address this problem.

Every launch console is plagued with a plethora of both minor and major issues and the launch of the PlayStation 5 as well Xbox Series X it does not seem to be less. The PlayStation 4 base had an issue with the HDMI port, a disc eject issue, and a blue light pulse issue that did not allow the PlayStation 4 to enter the power-on state, for example. Hopefully, this DualSense-related problem will not only be resolved as soon as possible, but that it will also prove to be the only one of the PlayStation 5.

PlayStation 5 is currently available in Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, South Korea and the United States, while the United Kingdom and the rest of the world will have the opportunity to get their hands (who managed to pre-order it in time) on Sony branded console the 19 November.
