Gamescom Awards 2020: first winners announced

It just finished the Opening Night of Gamescom 2020. After an evening full of announcements (which you can find on ours pages), to conclude with a flourish the first winners of the Gamescom Awards. The winners for the following categories were unveiled today: Best Adventure Game, Best Action Game e Best Indie Game of 2020. To know the names of all the other winners, we will have to wait for Sunday evening, during the Gamescom: Best of Show. All top-ranked titles in the various genre and platform categories will be eligible for the main prize: Best of Gamescom. Let's see what the winning games we have seen so far have been:

As the winner for the best adventure game category we find Watch Dogs: Legion, the new house title Ubisoft outgoing the October 20 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia. The first place for the best action game award is Star Wars: Squadrons, outgoing the October 2 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows. According to the Gamescom jury, the best Indie title of 2020 is Curious Expedition 2, an expedition simulator set in the nineteenth century. 

In addition to the genre awards listed above, the names of some platform award-winning titles have already been published. As best game for Microsoft Xbox are Tell Me Why (of which ours is already available review). The first place for Nintendo Switch è Little Nightmares 2 while, as many could imagine, the first prize winner as best title for PlayStation 4 it is cyberpunk 2077.

The prizes for the following categories will be announced on Sunday: Best Game for families, best "ongoing game“, Best game for PC, miglior race game, best remastered, best rpg, miglior simulator, best sports game, best game of strategy, the game more original, and the one with most sought after hardware and technology. In addition, the international jury will also vote for: ad better, better lineup, miglior trailer, best show, miglior streamer, Gamescom "Most Wanted"And finally the prize"Heart of Gaming".
