Has Bully 2 been canceled in favor of GTA 6 and Red Dead Redemption 2?

Bully 2 it is certainly one of the most requested sequels by fans, but one that will most likely never see the light of day. Recently, rumors have emerged that could explain its cancellation. While in fact the community of gamers loyal to Rockstar Games waits to know the release date of the next-gen version of GTA V, as well as wanting to find out new details about GTA 6, some rumors about Bully and its long-awaited sequel are back in the spotlight.

In fact, it has been for some time now that rumors related to the alleged desire by Rockstar Games to shape a sequel to the first Bully have alternated on the net. An intention to date never officially confirmed and that has found form only in rumors often linked to a cancellation of the sequel recently made by the software house. They are now contributing to revive this possibility two Insiders linked to Rockstar Games and active on the Resetera and Reddit forums, known as "Tez2"And"Yan2295". In fact, both seem to agree in identifying 2017 as the year in which the works dedicated to the creation of Bully 2 were interrupted. Production of the game would have been shelved following the large amount of work the team was facing to complete Red Dead Redemption 2. The triple A title would have forced Rockstar to slow work on Grand Theft Auto VI, which - it is reported - would have been started as early as 2015. Due to this enormous load of responsibility, the software house would have therefore decided to completely put Bully 2 aside.

If these rumors turn out to be concrete, the possibilities of the sequel's release will have to be definitively set aside, or at least, certainly, for the next few years. We know that Grand Theft Auto is Rockstar's priority, and the fact that the developer is focusing so much on Chapter 6 of the saga gives us hope for its quality. As for Bully 2, it looks like we won't see any trace of it for the next few years.
