Of the new film by Hellboy, many rumors and the first trailer have already been released. While waiting to see this film at the cinema, the poster and the first official photos visible in the gallery at the bottom have been released. The pictures show David Harbour in the role of Hellboy and for the first time we also see Milla Jovovich in the guise of the Blood Queen.
Here is the synopsis of the film:
Hellboy is a semi-demon who protects Earth from the supernatural creatures that threaten her. Summoned to our planet in 1944 by the evil Russian sorcerer Grigorij Efimovič Rasputin on behalf of the Nazis, Hellboy is saved by the Allies and entrusted to Professor Trevor Bruttenholm, who raises him as a son. Once an adult, Hellboy begins hunting werewolves, vampires and mythological creatures of all kinds, becoming one of the best detectives in the BPRD (Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense). In this new adventure, the demonic hero will be on a mission to London to face the ancient spirit of an evil witch who has returned to Earth from the world of the dead.
The film Hellboy born from the cult comic saga created by Mike Mignola. The atypical hero returns to the big screen in this reboot, after the movies Hellboy e Hellboy: The Golden Age, directed by the Oscar-winning Guillermo del Toro. Directing the adaptation, this time, is the horror filmmaker Neil Marshall (his is the brutal The Descent of 2005), while playing the atypical superhero is David Harbour, already protagonist of the renowned series Stranger Things in which he plays Sheriff Jim Hopper. The reboot will hit theaters on April 11, 2019.
