Hitman 3: here's how the title will exploit the features of DualSense

A few hours after the release of the first official gameplay trailer of Hitman 3, the developers of IO Interactive they made known through a message posted on the PlayStation Blog, some new details on the new chapter of the famous action-stealth series. Among this interesting information we can find those relating to the version PlayStation 5 of the title, including those available thanks to the functionality of the controller Dualense. We remind you that the title will be available starting from the next January 20 2021 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia. Here is part of the statements made by Travis Barbour, the communications manager of IO Interactive, on the PlayStation Blog.

On PlayStation 5, Hitman 3 will support 4K at 60fps in HDR support and faster load times. Plus, our next-generation free upgrade program allows PlayStation 4 owners (disc or digital) to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version of the game at no additional cost. Of course, if you choose to buy the PlayStation 4 disc version, you need to make sure you have a PlayStation 5 with disc drive to take advantage of the offer. But let's talk more about how Hitman 3 supports the DualSense wireless controller. All guns in the game will support adaptive triggers and you will experience an authentic feel with every shot you fire. Automatic weapons also simulate recoil with each bullet, and we are implementing unique feedback for each weapon that is tied to the distinct sound profile of each. Basically, we're emulating what it feels like to fire a specific weapon in the same way we replicate the sound of each weapon. A specific (and really cool!) Example of our DualSense controller's adaptive trigger support is how the Focus effect can be activated, which allows you to slow down the world around you while using a sniper rifle. When you gently press the R2 button, your finger will reach a point of tension that will resist the pressure and you will need to hold your finger in that point of tension to activate the focus. When you are ready to fire, push past that tension point and you will hear the trigger "click" as you fire the weapon. Boom. Headshot.
