Jurassic World: Dominion has been postponed to 2022

2020 has proved in many ways a disastrous year, above all due to the health emergency due to the spread on a global scale of the coronavirus. The latter was the reason why the release of many productions, both videogame and cinematographic, has been postponed for several months compared to that originally planned and, unfortunately, the long list of postponed films must now also be added. Jurassic World: Dominion. To officially communicate it were the director Colin Trevorrow e Chris Pratt, one of the leading actors.

Trevorrow posted a very short statement on Twitter in which he expressed his thoughts on the postponement of the film to June 10 2022, as well as inviting people to take care of their health:

For the past three months, I've worked with an amazing cast and crew on a film that we can't wait to share with the world. Even if we have to wait a little longer it will be worth it. Let's stay healthy and take care of each other until then.

Also Chris Pratt, as anticipated, he wanted to post a brief comment on his Instagram account, also showing (like Trevorrow) the updated poster of the film:

Thirty years of Jurassic heritage culminate in an epic final film. Like the legendary monsters of 65 million years ago, this film will also rule the earth.

The postponement of Jurassic World: Dominion, as well as joining the postponement of other blockbusters such as Dune, , would partially confirm the rumors denied what month ago they saw production interrupted due to the presence of the virus. The film will conclude the series created by Steven Spielberg in 1993 with the first, historic Jurassic Park and will have as interpreters, in addition to Chris Pratt, also other well-known faces of the franchise such as Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neil e Laura Dern. At this point, we just have to wait for more information about the development of the film over the next few months.
