La Warner Bros. Pictures the promotion of the film is continuing Mortal Kombat. After the first images, another taste comes with the promotional posters dedicated to the protagonists of the film: Sub Zero aka Joe Taslim, Josh Lawson as Kano, Sisi Stringer as Mileena, Max Huang as Kung Lao, Chin Han as Shang Tsung and Lewis Tan as Cole Young. The account Twitter series official announces that the full trailer of the film will debut on Thursday. Mortal Kombat will be premiered in theaters and on HBO Max in April.

Entertainment Weekly had published the first images taken from the Mortal Kombat live-action reboot a few months ago. While these early shots didn't reveal too much about the film's plot, it looks like, just like the game it's based on, it will be packed with action and spectacular combat. The film should be rated R, thus allowing the introduction of violent scenes with fatalities. Taslim's Sub Zero is just one of many familiar faces we will see in the upcoming film. He will appear alongside Cole Young (Lewis Tan), Liu Kang (Ludi Lin), Raiden (Tadanobu Asano), Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee). In addition to Jax (Mehcad Brooks), Kano (Josh Lawson), Shang Tsung (Chin Han), Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada). Kung Lao (Max Huang), Mileena (Sisi Stringer), Nitara (Elissa Cadwell) and Kabal (Daniel Nelson) complete the team. Fans of martial arts and cinema have already seen Taslim in action in the hit Indonesian action film The Raid: Redemption and The Night Comes for Us.
Two films were made from the game (the first of which was directed by Paul WS Anderson), released in cinemas in 1995 and 1997. More than 25 years after its debut, the film Mortal Kombat from 1995 still holds a special place in the hearts of many fans of the franchise. The developer of Mortal Kombat 11, NetherRealm Studios, took the opportunity to celebrate the film by releasing a series of skins based on it in 2020.
