Mortal Kombat: here are the first images of the reboot of Worner Bros.

Entertainment Weekly has recently published the first images taken from the Mortal Kombat live-action reboot. While these early shots don't reveal too much about the plot of the film, it looks like, just like the video game it is based on, it will be packed with action and spectacular combat. Thanks to these first images, moreover, we can say that the actor Cole Young, who from recent rumors seemed to be part of the cast, will play the character of Tan. The film should be rated R, thus allowing the introduction of violent scenes with the fatality.

As we can see, many of the protagonists of the saga will return to be part of this new feature film, such as Kung Lao and Raiden. Within months of the movie's release, very few details about Mortal Kombat have been revealed. Directed by Simon McQuoid and produced by James Wan e Todd Garner, the film will see a cast consisting of Ludi Lin (Liu Kang), Jessica McNamee (Sonya Blade), Joe Taslim (Sub-Zero), Hiroyuki Sanada (Scorpion), Mehcad Brooks (Jax), Lewis Tan (Cole Young) and Chin Han (Shang Tsung). Two films were made from the game (the first of which was directed by Paul WS Anderson), released in theaters in 1995 and 1997. More than 25 years after its debut, the 1995 film Mortal Kombat still holds a special place in the hearts of many fans of the franchise. The developer of Mortal Kombat 11 NetherRealm Studios, took the opportunity to celebrate the film by releasing a series of skins based on it in 2020. As well as other films in the Warner Bros., Mortal Kombat will be released simultaneously in both cinemas and on the streaming platform HBO Max. The arrival of the film is scheduled for 1April 6 2021.

Although they have not been qualitatively excellent, the films of the saga released so far have received a large following among fans of the video game, so this reboot will have the task not only of surpassing the original films, but also to capture the hearts of gamers. What do you think of these first shots, do they satisfy you?
