Kena: Bridge of Spirits, revealed the features of the DualSense, first clues about the DLC

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is one of the titles that wanted to exploit the new technology of the DualSense PlayStation. Haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, the new features he added Sony with their new generation of consoles, they have been made available to developers who are making good use of them by adding them within their titles. In this Ember Lab is no exception, making the most of this new technology within its latest title.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits, postponed to early 2021 and perhaps even further, is not a PS5 exclusive as it will also be available for PS4, as well as for PC on the Epic Games Store, for this reason Kena is not already born with the full exploitation of Sony's next generation technology. Josh and Mike Grier, creators of Ember Lab, in an interview made for Official PlayStation Magazine UK, explain how both adaptive triggers and haptic feedback have been added to their latest title in development:

We use tactile feel on all abilities, for Kena's shield and at the moment we use adaptive triggers when using the bow. You have some resistance on the right trigger which tightens as you pull fully. When you have the string fully pulled, the bow has more power and more precision and you will feel that tension in the trigger as you pull back. There are also some fun mini-games that teach you how to use the bow.

Together with these features related to the potential of the controller, the new generation will allow Kena: Bridge of Spirits to have much faster loading, more concrete and realistic fighting together with the possibility of having enough power to have a much more detailed game world and defined in which to render hundreds of small creatures. While, as regards the possibility of a DLC in addition to the base game, Josh replies:

Yep, there are definitely opportunities for other spirits that we weren't able to add in this game, which would have additional replayability to keep opening the game.

The possibility of being able to play the game a little more will be there, thanks to the addition of DLC, maybe one or maybe more, who knows. For now, in the meantime, we are waiting for the release of Kena: Bridge of Spirits that we remember will arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and on the Epic Games Store for the PC version. There is no news on a possible version Microsoft products for Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One. We therefore await developments and future news regarding theexpected to be released in the first quarter of 2021.
