Marvel's Avengers: the authors explain the reasons for the exclusivity of Spider-Man

After the announcement of exclusivity PlayStation di Spider-Man in Marvel's Avengers, the authors have explained the reasons behind this precise choice, which in the last few hours has caused several discontent on the part of those who intend to buy the title on other platforms. As the pages of IGN Japan report, Scot Amos, head of the development studio Crystal Dynamics, wanted to talk about the aforementioned exclusivity, through the declaration attached below.

The addition of Spider-Man is a once in a lifetime opportunity for us, thanks to the relationship PlayStation and Marvel have.

Obviously, however, the discontent of the community that intends to boycott the experience are not few, and that is why the man wanted to clarify this point too.

I would say that Marvel's Avengers has a lot of heroes, and that the scope and breadth of this universe, players will have a lot of content to play with. We just announced Hawkeye, and there are more heroes to come. The addition of Spider-Man is an opportunity to celebrate this relationship with players, but I think there is a whole world to explore, I wouldn't see it as a motivation not to embrace it. I would say, look at everything you can play with.

There was also room to talk about cross-play, a feature still unclear, which however could be implemented.

For cross-play, we have no announcements at the moment. But the beauty of the game is something we'll be implementing for years, so it's one of those things we have an eye on for what the future will be.

The man's point of view is certainly positive, and we hope that the community can therefore appreciate the title despite the choice of the exclusivity of Spider-Man. Although this does not make a large section of the public happy, this does not mean that users will not be able to live a potentially unforgettable experience anyway. We obviously hope that Marvel's Avengers turns out to be so, when the work makes its debut on the day of September 4th su PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One e Google Stadia, to then arrive later on the new generation consoles: PlayStation 5 e Xbox series X. Recently, we talked about our impressions of the Marvel's Avengers beta, which you can find in more detail at the following link.
