    Netflix makes some of its documentaries available on Youtube

    The streaming platform Netflix has decided to distribute for free some of the documentaries of its exclusive production directly on the official channel YouTube, with the intention of supporting teachers, engaged in this period of lockdown with distance learning. The 10 documentaries are available, albeit in English and with subtitles. The contents proposed by Netflix they are not the classic movies or series we are used to, however they can be interesting and much more stimulating than expected.



    Among the contents available for free to the public we can find the series Our Planet, created in collaboration with the WWF. The first season of Abstract: The Art of Design, which reveals through in-depth investigations the secrets of design works and XIII amendment, the documentary film about racial inequality in the United States of America.

    • Conquering Congress (Knock Down the House): four resolute women, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and behind the scenes of their challenge to high-caliber politicians in the 2018 election for the US Congress.
    • Our Planet: a series of documentaries made in collaboration with the WWF.
    • The cycle of progress (Period. End of Sentence): in the countryside of India, where the taboo of menstruation still reigns, the women of a village produce cheap sanitary pads to become independent.
    • White Helmets (The White Helmets): While air raids target civilian targets in Syria on a daily basis, a group of indomitable rescuers risk their lives to save the victims from the rubble.
