Netflix will develop new original movies and TV series based on CS Lewis' beloved fantasy saga "The Chronicles of Narnia".
Based on a multi-year agreement with The CS Lewis Company, Netflix will bring to life the incredible stories set in the universe of Narnia with new movies and TV series available exclusively to users around the world. The titles generated by this collaboration will be Netflix Original Productions, Entertainment One's Mark Gordon (eOne), Douglas Gresham and Vincent Sieber will be executive producers of the series and producers of the films. In total, the novels in the series The Chronicles of Narnia have sold over 100 million copies and have been translated into more than 47 languages around the world. For the first time, thanks to this agreement, the rights to the seven books that make up the saga are owned by a single company.
