Ninja Gaiden: Team Ninja would like to return to work on the series

Interviewed by IGN, Nioh 2 director Fumihiko Yasuda talked about the team's interest in the series Ninja Gaiden. Many of the developers of Team Ninja have in fact worked on the saga starring Ryu Hayabusa, and can't wait to get back to work on an unreleased chapter. Here are the words of Yasuda:

The main members of the team that worked on Ninja Gaiden want to create a new game. We are aware that some fans wanted Ninja Gaiden more than Nioh 2. Personally, I am definitely one of those fans who has been waiting for a new Ninja Gaiden game above every other Team Ninja project. Now we see a lot of ninja-themed games, and we see a lot of great inspiration from those games, so hopefully we will deliver good news someday.
