Obi-Wan Kenobi: Ewan McGregor reassures fans about the release date of the series

During a recent interview with IGN USA colleagues, Ewan McGregor confirmed that despite the series Disney + dedicated to the character of Obi-Wan Kenobi has been suspended, the release date (which has not yet been made public) has not undergone any changes. The actor spoke about the topic during a recent event dedicated to Birds of Prey, where he will play the role of Black Mask, pointing out that these types of production delays are quite common, and that these factors should in no way affect fans of the universe of Star Wars.

In addition, the actor has denied the rumors of a possible "re-adaptation" of the series of "Obi-Wan Kenobi", going from six episodes to "only" four. We report below what Ewan McGregor said:

It's just moved on to next year, that's all. The scripts were really good. I think now that Episode IX is finally out, everyone at Lucasfilm has more time to write, they felt like they want more time to write. I've read about eighty, ninety percent of what they've written so far, and it's very good indeed. Instead of shooting in August, they just want to start shooting in January, that's all. Nothing dramatic. It happens often in projects, they just wanted to postpone it to next year. It will have the same release date, I don't think this can be affected.
