Finally here we are, Sony officially revealed the release period for the new one PlayStation 5, which will arrive on the shelves at Christmas .
Along with this news, however, other information has also been released: the first concerns the new joypad which will include a renewed vibration system and more reactive back buttons. Jim Ryan, president of Sony Interactive Entertainment, confirmed his desire to take the sense of involvement to new heights, a growth process that inevitably starts from the changes applied to the DualShock.
Hence, the vibration, managed through the Rumble system, gives way to haptic feedback, capable of giving different sensations depending on whether your character has just hit a wall, suffered a bullet hit or slipped towards another player. .
The second novelty is dedicated to the two buttons L2 e R2, which will adapt according to the need. Thanks to a new technology introduced, the developers will be able to give a specific resistance to offer to the two "triggers", so as to ensure greater realism during the action. This will then turn into different resistances capable of simulating the sensation of pulling a trigger, pulling a rope or activating a lever, adding further degrees of realism to the already fantastic videogame experiences.
