Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, Ubisoft exposes itself on graphics

During the conference Ubisoft Forward, aired just after 10 September, one of the protagonists was certainly Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, the highly anticipated remake of one of the most famous titles not only from the Ubisoft library, but from the entire sixth generation of consoles. After its announcement many fans on the internet started to turn up their noses on graphics of this remake: in particular, fans were blown away by the trailer shown last night, defining what was shown even not worthy of the current standard from the point of view of visual rendering. The developers of Ubisoft India, who are currently working on this project, have decided to accept an interview on the Indian portal "The Mako Reactor"To respond to all these disputes arising in the last hours.

We decided to opt for a unique visual treatment, to make it stand out more among all the other games of this generation. It's not like an Assassin's Creed nor like the 2008 Prince of Persia. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake needs to be unique. Its magic is also transmitted through the saturation, the lights, and it was a great challenge to reinvent the game taking these new aspects into account.

The words of the game director Pierre Sylvain-Gires seem to confirm that this particular graphic was a stylistic choice, made just for make the game unique and recognizable. However, all facial animations have been redone from scratch using motion capture on real life actors, as shown during the presentation of the title. Also in the same interview, the deputy director of the project Syed Abbas confirms the game director's version, stating that there were no problems with the budget and that the title has been in development for more than two years, so from the beginning it was decided to use this particular graphic.

Although there are still many doubts about this operation, which however so far has shown to the public only sections from the alpha version of the project, we remind you that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is coming. on January 21, 2021 su PC, PlayStation 4 e Xbox One, and later also on Xbox Series X and Series S thanks to Microsoft's Smart Delivery service.
