Realme 7 Pro - Review of the top model of the series

For each technological product, the version now exists Pro: if this dynamic could be seen with a somewhat critical eye, it actually offers an alternative solution to those who would like to approach a product, but with something more. We have always lived in a world where we can divide products into "extremely technological" and "with a fantastic feeling" and the two do not always coincide. For this reason, the Pros, these improved models, are able to combine the two and satisfy a different audience. In this case, the Realme 7 Pro, which with only € 100 more raises the bar of the normal Realme 7.

The improvements, especially focused on the display, the camera and the processor, are seen above all during its use, thanks to a decidedly higher speed and superfine quality.

Design

The Realme 7 Pro comes with a chassis very similar to its lower version, plastic with a double-reflective aesthetic finish on the rear. The button on the right loses the fingerprint sensor as it is integrated into the display, while on the left we find the usual two buttons for the volume and the input for SIM and MicroSD.

At the bottom the Realme 7 Pro features a USB-C input, an AUX input, an amplifier and a microphone, leaving the top completely empty. The screen remains a bit raised in comparison to the body of the phone, but it is fortunately protected by the Gorilla Glass 3 Pro.

The device is very solid and at the same time light: the whole in fact has a coating water-repellent, capable of avoiding damage due to water, while for the rest a cover could help (transparent recommended, to highlight the colors and reflections).

The Realme 7 weighs 182 grams and has a length of 160,9mm, a width of 74,3mm and a depth of 8,7mm. The product is on sale in two colors: Mirror Blue and Mirror Silver.

This Realme 7 can boast the Pro suffix thanks to two great qualities: his and its processor. If we will talk about the first in the next paragraph, we can instead focus immediately on the CPU, one Snapdragon 720G Qualcomm SM7125. It presents 2 core 2.3 GHz Kyro 465 Gold e 6 core 1.8 GHz Kyro 465 Silver: if this does not present an exaggerated power compared to the standard model, the rest is done by the quality of the component, definitely of a higher level. The difference can be seen, if not in the applications, in everyday use and in the menus, which are faster and more fluid.

Speaking instead of autonomy, the device thanks to the dual 3C Cell battery manages to make up for the lack of those 500 mAh in comparison to the lower model and indeed, better manages the more expensive components without losing duration. For this iThe Realme 7 Pro can last a full day with frequent use, and go up to almost 3 with the power saving mode.

The device has a stereo amplifier capable of reproducing audio with high quality. The top box acts as a speaker capable of producing stereo sound, with good cleanliness, while the bottom speaker does most of the work, with clean, clear sound. Finally, the device has a setting for Dolby Atmos, so as to make the sound propagated in space.

Display

One of the flagships of this device is the display, a Super AMOLED of excellent quality which offers fantastic colors: in comparison, you can immediately see the difference in the intensity of the colors (although the red comes out a little damaged, as it gains a hint of too much blue). The white is decidedly stronger than what you would see on an LCD, and this makes it all look garish. The display also allows the integration of the fingerprint reader, which is then detached from the side button and which is more comfortable and stylistically interesting.

The screen reaches a resolution of 1080 × 2400 pixels, thus having a density of 409 ppi, while the 16 million colors are confirmed. Super AMOLED technology displays deep blacks and flashy whites, and this offers superior quality to most high-end smartphones that still feature LCD displays.

Photo

The Realme 7 Pro also tries to be a camera-phone and does so thanks to a quadruple rear sensors and to an excellent front camera. Speaking before the quartet, together they propose many photographic modes and styles: present in fact the Starry Mode, the night filters, the ultra nightscape video, AI color portrait, the ultra wide angle video, UIS and UIS Max. The shots are alive, well structured, and video recordings can count on a quality HDR.

Stands out 32MP front camera, something monstrous if we think about the fact that many smartphones do not reach this detail even in the rear. The shots are intense and defined, and the videos boast a Full HD quality (which stops at 30 FPS, however).
