We thank you for your support which contributed to spreading the interview we published yesterday with Akira Yamaoka all over the world. We were asked to remove the clip, and it was removed. We apologize, and please stay tuned for the upcoming interviews.

AlHub it does not mention who asked for the interview to be removed, whether the publisher of Silent Hill, Konami, or another company. Yamaoka has a career spanning dozens of games - from Contra to World of Tanks, from The Medium to Lollipop Chainsaw - but it is precisely his work on Silent Hill that has brought him into the international spotlight. The composer has contributed to almost every game in the series, starting with the original Silent Hill on PlayStation in 1999 until its most recent official entry (not counting PT) in 2012. Yamaoka was also involved in the Silent Hill-based films. For years, fans of the saga have been eagerly awaiting news of a new game in the series, and despite persistent fan gossip and internet speculation, nothing has ever materialized. Until now, maybe.

The composer in fact spoke of a possible announcement coming this summer and, although it would seem to lead to a denial, this mysterious disappearance of his statements it could instead be a further step on the confirmation of a probable arrival of a new chapter in the saga. We just have to wait for the developments of this intricate story.
