Spawn: Todd McFarlane's reboot will be a distinctly dark film

Spawn: Todd McFarlane's reboot will be a distinctly dark film

During an interview given to the microphones of Nerdist, the creator and screenwriter of Spawn, Todd McFarlane, is back to talk about the reboot on the character who is currently in full development phase. Going more specifically, McFarlane stated that there will be no comic moments in the film, all in order to recreate a perpetually dark and melancholy general atmosphere.

The screenwriter then explained that everything was specifically wanted to go in contrast with the cinecomic branded The Marvel movies, which for years have made light-hearted tones one of their battle horses. Finally, McFarlane was keen to specify that his work, unlike the 1997 feature film, will be more faithful to the original comic and will see Jamie Foxx in the role of the anti-hero of the moment.
