Sumo Digital is hiring for two new projects, including a triple A

Sumo Digital is one of those studios that you never hear about too often, yet it is one of the most concrete and consolidated players in the videogame industry by now. Only recently have they developed Sackboy: A Big Adventure, one of the launch titles for the next-gen console of Sony, Playstation 5. In recent weeks, rumors are spreading that they have two new and mysterious projects not yet announced in the pipeline, including a triple A title. The proof would be the job advertisements of the company, which is looking for new staff creative to expand their skills.

We are looking for an avid Senior Game Designer to work on an upcoming project, a triple A action-adventure set in an Open-world.

Sumo Digital, specifically the Sheffield location, is currently hiring for two unannounced projects. Going over the several available job listings some details can be gathered about both projects. One being a open-world AAA action title and the other a 3rd person MP shooter.

Sumo Digital is in fact trying to hire new qualified personnel for two projects that we do not have any information about at the moment, but which, nevertheless, we can try to reconstruct. One of them should be one third person multiplayer shooter, although we currently know little about it: for this project it seems that the company is looking for developers to own great experience in PvP combat. The other, and arguably the largest project, is said to be a triple A title, a open world action game of an already known and established saga. Sumo Digital is known to the public for many different titles, however their flagship games are definitely the Sackboy sagas, Crackdown e Team Sonic Racing , and so one of them could be the big triple-A headline the announcement is about.

However, since the Sackboy mascot has recently returned to the spotlight with the launch of PlaySation 5, we feel we can exclude its return in the near future, while as regards Crackdown, its latest videogame release has not met with great acclaim, and would need therefore of a strong relaunch to bring the brand back into fashion.
