Super Mario 3D All-Stars confirmed: Galaxy, Mario 64 and Sunshine on Switch, here is the date

Like a bolt from the blue and in a new form compared to its classic modus operandi, Nintendo has finally revealed the arrival of the Super Mario 3D All-Stars, a collection to be released on Nintendo Switch which will offer players the chance to play three classic titles: Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine e Super Mario Galaxy. The collection, rumored for months, will therefore allow you to play on the hybrid console of the big N with three games that have achieved enormous success, on Nintendo 64, Nintendo Game Cube e Nintendo Wii. Unfortunately it is missing Super Mario Galaxy 2. The arrival of this collection is part of Nintendo's celebrations to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros., iconic character of the Kyoto company and one of the symbolic faces of the entire videogame world. The arrival of this collection is a unique opportunity for all those who would like to get their hands on these three titles again or who, having never had the chance, would like to recover them. Let's analyze them in detail.

Super Mario 64 is a title released in 1996 on the Nintendo 64 that was capable of revolutionize the game experience that made the mustachioed plumber famous, passing from a two-dimensional horizontal scroll to an exploration of the3D game environment. It got a resounding success, becoming one of the most loved titles ever in the videogame panorama. The other title in the collection, Super Mario Sunshine, is its direct successor. Released in 2002 on Nintendo GameCube, it failed to repeat the success of its predecessor, despite being distinguished by the presence of some innovative elements such as, for example, the jet backpack shooting water. It is the first time that Nintendo is relaunching this game on another platform. Finally, within Super Mario 3D All-Stars, we also find Super Mario Galaxy, a title launched on the market in 2007 on Wii and considered as one of the best 3D titles of the great N. Announced after months of rumors that heralded its arrival on the markets, the collection will be available for purchase in a limited number of physical copies and also on Nintendo eShop starting from next 18 September and, strange but true, until March 31 2021. From April 1, 2021, except for news from the large N, the collection will no longer be obtainable except through the purchase of one of the limited physical editions.
