The opening of the park has been postponed on numerous occasions due to the impact of the pandemic linked to the risk of contagion from COVID-19.

The park was originally announced in 2015 and the first inauguration date was foreseen in the heart of thesummer of 2020, as it was revealed through a music video, on the occasion of the presentation of the song by Charlie XCX and Galantis. One of the attractions was shown through a special Nintendo Direct in December 2020: it was the kart track dedicated, of course, to the Mario Kart series. Before leaving you to the movie, we point out that Phil Spencer (Microsoft) spent some splendid words for Nintendo in a recent interview, defining the Japanese giant as one of his main sources of inspiration for his work. Finally, according to an insider, it seems that Nintendo Switch Pro could have dedicated exclusive games.
