Tetris 99 has been very successful since its release on Nintendo Switch, thanks to its classic and immediate multiplayer formula, as well as obviously for the constant support it is receiving in recent months. In this regard, a new update for the title, which brings it to version 2.1 and introduces some interesting new features.
First of all is the team mode, in which the players are divided into four teams and fight to be the last survivors. This will be the main mode of the new 10 Grand Prix, which will start on December 13th at 8:00 am and will end on December 17th. During this event you will earn points based on the placement of your team, in order to obtain tickets useful to increase the probability of winning 999 gold points to be used in the store.
The other news of the update concern the possibility of play with friends in specific lobbies and to buy past themes using tickets. Below is the tweet of the announcement:
