It looks like next year will be very important for all Mandalorians in the galaxy. On Disney Plus it will arrive in fact The Book of Boba Fett, a new live-action series focusing entirely on the bounty hunter that first appeared in George Lucas' classic trilogy. I recommend, this news will continue with IMPORTANT SPOILERS, so continue reading only if you have already seen the last episode of the second season of The Mandalorian.

Chapter XVI, the grand finale of the second season of The Mandalorian, entitled The Rescue, announced the arrival of The Book of Boba Fett, scheduled for December 2021. In fact, there was one in the finale post-credit scene who saw Boba Fett and Fennec Shand head to Tatooine to take over Jabba's Palace, which is run by Bib Fortuna. Boba shoots him and takes his place. A black screen is then shown with the title “The Book of Boba Fett” and its release date. Rumors have been circulating for some time about a spin-off of Boba Fett, which are now confirmed. In November, a report suggested that filming had already begun, albeit the actor Temuera Morrison he didn't openly unbutton about Boba Fett's return. In a recent interview for the New York Times he had in fact declared: “I'll just have to wait and see“. The actor was in fact unaware of the fate of Boba Fett, and was not even sure that Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau would call him back.

For now, sadly, we can only speculate on the content of the next series, and how it will rejoin the universe opened by The Mandalorian. Only one thing is official: Boba Fett will be back next December. Prepare your blasters, let's go hunting.
